Year 7 Team

As the Raising Standards Leader and Transition Lead, my role is to ensure that every student has the best possible start to their secondary school journey. I oversee key areas such as pastoral care, attendance, academic outcomes, and behaviour, working closely with students, parents, and staff to support their well-being and success. 

My priority is to create a positive and nurturing environment where all students feel safe, valued, and motivated to achieve their full potential. As the Transition Lead, I work closely with primary schools to ensure a smooth and supportive transition from Year 6 to Year 7, helping students and their families feel confident and prepared for this exciting new chapter. I look forward to meeting you in the next few months for parent information evening, Q&A sessions, and Transition Week.

As a Pastoral Support Manager, I play a key role in helping Year 6 students transition smoothly into Year 7. I provide support by identifying any concerns early and putting tailored interventions in place to help students feel confident and settled. These interventions may include mentoring, small-group sessions, or additional pastoral support to bridge the gap between primary and secondary school. 

I work closely with students, parents, and staff to ensure each child feels supported academically, socially, and emotionally, making their move to secondary school as positive and successful as possible.
