As the Designated Safeguarding Lead, my priority is to ensure that all students feel safe, supported, and valued. I work closely with staff, students, and external agencies to create a culture of safeguarding, where concerns are addressed swiftly, and every child has a trusted adult they can turn to.
In my role as the Senior Attendance Champion, I am committed to promoting excellent attendance and punctuality, understanding the vital role they play in student success. I work with families and staff to identify and overcome barriers to attendance, ensuring that every student has the opportunity to engage fully in their education.

As the Cross Trust Vice Principal for Teaching and Learning at Turner Schools, based at DCCA it is my role to ensure that every student is enabled to be the best version of themselves and able to leave us with choices. I work closely with students, parents and staff to support success in learning at all stages.
My priority is to ensure that we do provide excellence for all within an inclusive setting and to support every pupil to find their ‘why ‘ on their journey with us. I wholeheartedly support our ‘We are DCCA’ slogan believing us to be authentic in our vision and values and committed to ensuring pupils are able to access the best possible education within our learning environment.
My aim is for us as a school to have access to the latest resources and research around Teaching and Learning and to support the staff to provide this to our students. I believe that we are all lifelong learners and want to support that within our community. I look forward to meeting all our new pupils and parents / carers.

Associate Vice Principal for
Teaching and Learning
As the Associate Vice Principal for Teaching and Learning, I am thrilled to contribute to our school's mission of inspiring a love for reading, developing teaching and learning strategies. and supporting the growth of new teachers.
I am committed to fostering a culture of reading that excites and inspires every student. My approach involves the integration of the innovative 'Reading Plus' program, which has proven instrumental in enhancing reading skills across our school community. I also work closely with our staff to implement carefully planned reading strategies within our lessons and tutor time, ensuring that every student receives the support they need to thrive. In addition to reading, I work with the Cross-Trust Vice Principal for Teaching and Learning to develop the teaching and learning initiatives and strategies across the school to increase pupil progress further.
My role extends beyond student literacy to the nurturing of our Early Career Teachers and Trainee Teachers. I take great pride in supporting teachers as they start their professional journeys partnering with external providers to ensure we can develop teachers that create engaging learning environments for all our pupils. This involves coordinating high-quality mentorship programs, ensuring that our mentors receive comprehensive training to guide our ECTs effectively, and looking after the well-being of our staff in their initial years in teaching.

Trust Associate Vice Principal for Secondary Improvement
My role is to support the Vice Principal for Outcomes at Dover Christ Church Academy to ensure students in year 11 achieve the best possible results. I am working to improve assessments in years 7,8,9 in order to address issues sooner and set students up for success when they get to year 11.
I am responsible for the supervision of students during social times ensuring students can safely enjoy the outdoor spaces and facilities on offer at DCCA. I also oversee the GCSE Options process for students in year 9, where they are given the opportunity to choose some of the subjects they study.
